Breakfast/Snack:
Independent Reading Book:
Pep Talk:
- It is important to have a healthy breakfast before school on testing days. You want to make sure you have lots of energy for your brain during testing.
- We ask that all students come with a healthy snack on testing days. Snack time is a great time to re-energize and rest your brain before continuing with the test.
- The students can keep a water bottle at their desk during testing. It is a great idea to have some water to keep hydrating.
Independent Reading Book:
- All fifth graders should have an independent reading book at their desks. If a fifth grader finishes a portion of the test before the allotted time is over they will need to have a book to read.
- Due to testing regulations, no Kindles, Nooks, iPads or other reading technology can be used at this time.
- Due to the added stress of PARCC and MCAS and the need to reward the fifth graders for their hard work, we will not be assigning any homework tonight or next week.
Pep Talk:
- You are prepared.
- You have worked hard to get ready.
- Take your time.
- Don’t get tricked by those pesky testing people.
- Remember your checklist.
- Give lots of details, SHOW AND TELL.
- Do your best.
